Project Title:
Digital Advancement in Cultural and Creative Sector Training and Education (D-ACuSTE)
Project code:
2024-1-IT01-KA210-VET-000253870
Duration:
01/09/2024 - 30/04/2026
Context and Motivation:
The project addresses the urgent need for vocational education and training (VET) systems in the cultural and creative sectors (CCS) to adapt to the digital transformation shaping the industry. With rapid technological advancements, creative industries such as music, visual arts, design, and digital media face a growing demand for professionals skilled in both artistic and digital competencies. D-ACuSTE aims to bridge this gap by fostering digital literacy and creating innovative tools for training and education, while ensuring inclusivity and diversity in learning opportunities. The project also seeks to empower marginalized groups by making education in the cultural sectors accessible to learners from disadvantaged backgrounds, including those from rural areas.
Objectives:
D-ACuSTE is designed around three main objectives, which are directly aligned with the Erasmus+ priorities for digital transformation, inclusion, and VET innovation:
1. Improve Digital Inclusion in Cultural and Creative Education:
-
Conduct research and analysis on current trends, challenges, and opportunities in integrating digital skills and technologies into cultural and creative education.
-
Develop innovative practices to support this digital integration, providing both learners and trainers in CCS with tools that match modern educational and professional demands.
2. Develop E-learning Modules and Platform:
-
Create and launch interactive and accessible e-learning modules that combine digital literacy with cultural and creative education.
-
Build a user-friendly online platform that delivers high-quality educational content, designed to engage learners of various backgrounds, particularly those in vocational training programs within CCS.
3. Create Practical Teaching Resources for Trainers:
-
Produce a comprehensive manual that summarizes the methodologies, best practices, and lessons learned from the project’s e-learning modules.
-
This manual will serve as a key resource for VET trainers, helping them implement more effective, inclusive teaching methods and providing them with tangible tools to enhance the learning experience of their students.
Target Groups:
1. Direct Target Groups:
-
VET Learners in the Cultural and Creative Sectors (CCS): This group includes individuals enrolled in vocational programs related to the arts, design, digital media, and other creative fields. Through the project, learners will gain both artistic and digital competencies, increasing their employability in the creative and digital labor markets.
2. Indirect Target Groups:
-
VET Teachers and Trainers in CCS: Teachers, instructors, and trainers involved in delivering VET in the cultural and creative sectors will benefit from new digital tools and teaching strategies. They will be better equipped to engage learners, provide high-quality digital education, and support diverse learning needs.
-
Vocational Institutions and Policymakers: Schools, institutions, and government bodies responsible for designing VET programs will be able to adopt innovative digital methods and practices developed by the project, influencing curriculum design and educational policies across Europe.
-
Local and Regional Communities: Cultural organizations, businesses, and communities involved in CCS will indirectly benefit from a better-trained, digitally skilled workforce that can contribute to local cultural activities, services, and economic growth.
